AlphaBeta opens new Canberra office
AlphaBeta has expanded into a new office to support its fast-growing corporate and government advisory business in Canberra.
The new office, located at Suite 1.03, Level 1, 10 Hobart Place, Civic, is a milestone for the firm. Since launching in Canberra 18 months ago, AlphaBeta’s local team has grown to include experts in economic policy, data science and the public sector. The firm currently employs 50 consultants across offices in Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne and Singapore.
AlphaBeta specialises in in-depth, data-driven strategy consulting that combines its unique data assets, innovative data science and economic methods, and multi-disciplinary teams with experience working on major reforms. This approach is well-suited to Canberra, where public sector organisations often make vast, complex decisions of a national or global scale. Data to inform these decisions has traditionally been hard or time-consuming to gather, particularly in close to real time.
AlphaBeta’s Canberra office is led by Kate Pounder, who has significant experience in public, private and non-profit sectors, including senior consulting, policy and strategy roles at McKinsey & Company, the Australian Industry Group, Network Ten and the Federal Government. It was launched this week at an event attended by over 50 clients, partners and staff.
